Home Spa Tips:

To achieve spa oriented results at home, you could incorporate the following into your routine:

Bath:

  • To create that luxurious soak, pump Conditioning Body Wash into the bath, while the water is running.  This will create a foaming action and still gently cleanse the skin without stripping the natural barrier.

  • To enhance relaxation properties, add 4-8 pumps of Stress Relief Treatment Oil to the water.  This will create a trule aromatherapy experience and also aids with muscle relaxation.

  • Hydro Active Mineral Salts can also be poured into the bath, along with the above. These salts will not only aid in polishing the skin, but will also provide true relaxation on a muscular and emotional level.  The Hydro Active Mineral Salts contain essential oil extracts Ginger, Sandalwood, Orange, Clary Sage and Lavender,  along with Kelp, mineral rich Sea Salts and Papain.

  • After bathing, simply apply Body Hydrating Cream or for extra emolliency, Ultra Rich Body Cream which relieves ultra dry skin as it is rich in Glycoplipids, Vitamin E and Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5).  As above, Ultra Rich Body Cream or Body Hydrating Cream can be customized with Stress Relief Treatment Oil for extra hydration properties.

Shower:

  • Shower with Conditioning Body Wash - this is a soap free acid balanced cleanser which leaves the skin refreshingly clean without stripping moisture.  It contains essential oils of Tea Tree, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary, along with naturally foaming Quillaja Saponaria Extract and Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5) which is conditioning.  Simply use one pump for the entire body.

  • If you wanted to enhance the cleansing process, and exfoliate the entire body during the cleansing process, pump the Conditioning Body Wash onto the Ultimate Buffing Cloth and polish the body to perfection.  The Ultimate Buffing Cloth is a quick drying, hygienic exfoliating cloth and perfect for those hard to reach area's.

  • Apply Exfoliating Body Scrub (approx the size of a looney) and gently massage over the body, particularly on those hard skin area's like the knees and elbows.

  • Once out of the shower, while the skin is still quite damp, apply Body Hydrating Cream which contains hydroxy acids and essential plant oils (Lavender, Patchouli, Orange, Lemongrass, Rosemary) and Japanese Greeen Tea to smooth and condition the skin.  For extra hydration you can even mix in a pump of Stress Relief Treatment Oil.  Stress Relief Treatment Oil is an aromatic body treatment oil for not only massage, but helps with deluxe skin conditioning also.  It contains advanced Organic Silicones with soothing essential oils of Sandalwood, Lavender, Orange, Patchouli and Clary Sage.

Film Fest is winding down, and although you love all the glitz and glam, your body (and liver) is secretly happy that you can’t party until 4am anymore! The late night hours are catching up to you, and those black circles you thought were the remnants of your mascara, just won’t wash off. The fun and games are coming to a grinding halt and the real life stresses are starting to kick in….again. But there are always ways to keep stress at bay. Long bubbly baths, drinky poos, relaxing dips in a lovely pool, or afternoon at the beach always help maintain altitude.

Palm Springs , just saying the words brings a smile to the lips. Say it with me, Palm Springs, feel it roll off your tongue. If you are already missing the spicy weather, the days in Palm Springs are still 39 degrees, and will hover around 32 degrees in October. Now, picture yourself lounging by the pool, getting a massage at TheParker. This place defines Palm Springs luxury. The pictures alone will wet your lips with anticipation. Think about the whirlpools, hot tubs, swimming pools, and all the other bodies hanging by the pool de-stressing. Hello Parker, good bye real life!!

If you can’t make it to Palm Springs, you can always bring Palm Springs to you. What could be better than a huge tub to soak yourself (and another) in? Duravit and Philippe Starck have teamed up to create the Starck X. This tub is God’s gift to all the water babies who hailed from an interior designer’s belly. Its cubist and understated design can also be fun and playful, with the addition of optional remote controlled lighting. But that’s not the best part, you can have it made with one or two sloping back rests. So this yummy tub not only washes you clean, it gives you enough space to be dirty! So jump in and grab some bathtub gin while you are at it!

If a long soak isn’t your style, than Kohler’s DTV line of showers is right up your alley. Once you lay eyes on DTV no other can do. Water shoots at you from every angle, and the clear glass shower doors, oh my! I think it might be time for a cold shower right about now. Oh how my mind wanders…

Now that you are ready to dry off it’s time to wrap yourself up in something nice and sweet. While the arms of another might be ideal, sometimes you just need a little something else. In those situations, just throw on a short little Resort Terry Robe, from American Apparel. So little, so sexy, and unisex! Perfection.

If you don’t believe me check yourself out in Niels Bendtsen Lean mirror for Bensen. Its minimal design is almost as hot as you are! This sleek and sophisticated mirror is the perfect complement to any setting, even if you don’t have much of a setting, get this mirror! Because everyone always needs a sexy mirror.
