| An Italian Icon!
When I think of Italian beauty a variety of women come to mind, particularly Monica Vitti, a young Sophia Loren and Claudia Cardinale. All three of these Italian sirens embody what is in my opinion the very essence of Italian beauty; they are independent, feisty, driven and above all else they exude a certain confidence with every step they take. Whether its sultry red lips or a smoky eye the key to these iconic looks is far less determined by what you wear or how you apply it, than in how you wear it. So the next time you’re getting ready and taking inspiration from the Italians, remember to open your door and walk down the street and own it like you’re an icon.

We have decided it’s time to pay tribute to our friends from that sexy boot shaped country! They have given us so much, from pizza to pasta, to style icons like Sofia Loren, and films like the Godfather. Italy’s got something we all want!
 First thing’s first, the Italians are all about sex appeal, and nothing’s sexier than fiery red lips! Ladies paint those lips redder than a 17 th Century harlot! Just think of all those dirty thoughts running through the minds of all the boys. And boys get ready to pucker up, because lips that red should never be wasted! So, slap on Versace’s smooth textured Sensual Glam Full Volume Lipstick #10. The boys will be dropping at your feet. And if you are looking for a little inspiration, check out Italian super hottie, Monica Bellucci, Dior’s new red lipstick lady!
 Italian duds are next! Two of our favourite Italian boys are from right here in Canada. Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared have been whipping up delectable goodies to wrap around your lovely selves for years. Prepare to wrap yourself in supple leathers this season, because these boys have brought the cowboy to the city!
Don’t worry boys we haven’t forgotten you! We found Felli Racco. This is a brand new line, and ohhhh how we like’em fresh! They know how to make a hot sexy shirt! These guys take themselves seriously, tailoring is no joke here, and everything is done in Italy. So be prepared to have the ladies asking “Oh, can I touch your shirt? It just looks so nice.” Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Now it’s time to get some good nosh to keep you going. Our new favourite hot spot has to be Cucina, at the north east corner of College and Grace. Their bright red sign begs to come hither, and boldly says, “This ain’t grandma’s Italy!” Cucina’s patio is the perfect people watching spot, and the food, oh the food!! So good you’ll never want to leave! But if you are only having one thing, have the Pizza Cucina, topped with figs, shrimp, and prosciutto, oh my!
