Who in the world do you think you are? A superstar?
Well right you are! Because we all shine on, like the moon, the stars and the sun. Yes, yes, those are words to live by. Thank you, John Lennon, for being our inspiration this week. The sun is shining, and damn it, you will be too! We have all the tricks to make you shine on like those crazy diamonds. Ok that’s enough classic rock references, but come on, I couldn’t help it!  It’s time to shimmer and shine. What better way to catch the boy's eyes than with a little sparkle? And yes if haven’t guessed by now, we always have an ulterior motive, and yes it is always the same motive, wink, wink, nudge, nudge! So, now that we have your attention you must be wondering what the hell we are talking about, it’s called Kitten, and it is purr-fect for summer! Benefit has created a shimmering powder that will make your whole body glisten with a few strokes of its soft fuzzy pink puff! Prrrrrrrrrrr, and may we say me-ow!
 A little shimmer needs a little sparkle. Daniel Espinosa's jewelry designs are bold, just like us, so we like him, a lot. This guy is the best thing to come out of Mexico since tequila and Corona; which we also suggest sampling this sun shiny weekend. In fact we suggest you couple Mr. Espinosa’s extravagantly fantastic jewlerey with the above mentioned beverages. Just picture your bracelet-ed wrist bringing a Corona to your lips. Summer perfection.
Where else would you shine, but at The Shine Lounge (aptly named). Get your shiny goodness together and jump on a plane, or charter one (you know how we feel about that!) you’re going to San Fran baby! Shine is something else. It has naughty written all over it, especially the glass walls between the bathrooms, and naughty is something we like. If you are feeling a little extra naughty take a jaunt to the photo booth: it publishes each of the evening’s photos online the next day. So have fun, but remember we’re watching you!

But if you can’t jet off to San Francisco for the weekend, don’t fret we of course know just where you can shine like the sun in Toronto. Friday night check out the Mad Decent Tour, at the Mod Club presented by party gurus A.D/D, featuring world renowned shit hot DJ Diplo. Saturday night make sure you hit the What Else party at the State Theatre, where K-os, Lil Jaz, and Justin Perroff (Broken Social Scene) will be rocking the place silly.
