Well since it was a long weekend, we decided to put our livers to the test, and took a little break from work. But we still want to celebrate the ‘True North Strong and Free,’ with all of you. So this week’s cheek is all Canadian and all red hot! I say screw the balloons, fireworks, and all that other lame shit. I want style, I want fun, and for the love all things unholy I want the real goods! And I know a lot of good stuff. I shop and go out more than my wallet sees fit, which I do for you, my precious, precious ones.
Lula Magazine – Our favorite Magazine to come out of London in Years, Canadian Style maven Leith Clark’s Lula has gone head to head with the established British fashion bibles and kicked some serious ass.
Delphic - You’ve seen those T-shirts that say “Canadian Girls Kick Ass,” well they must have been made for this girl, because Lena Kim, co-owner of Toronto fashion hot spot Delphic has just launched a new denim line these jeans make your ass look dangerously hot (be prepared to beat them off with a stick if you wear them) and they won’t break your bank.
Cargo Cosmetics - Cargo is killing us with their slick designs and innovative products. Their latest sicky product is the Colour Cards; they have invented the perfect single serving of eye shadow; it’s on a bloody card, genius, just genius. And of course, it comes in the Cargo signature re-usable tin. Canadians rule.
Malivoire Wine Co. – Are you seeing a trend yet? Yes we like our hooch! And what can be better than a good old bottle of Niagara wine? Generally Lots! But don’t fear Malivoire is here and this Wine Co. has it right. This gravity Fed Vineyard “For all you self proclaimed connoisseurs” that may mean something produces by far one of best tasting Canadian Chardonnays we’ve ever had the pleasure of guzzling. And for those patio days “oh those so long awaited patio days” put your lips on the glass and take a sip of their Lady Bug Rose, a perfect partner for a perfect patio experience.
MTV Canada – Much may have created music TV, but MTV Canada is definitely the new kid on the block . And let’s face it, this shit's hilarious with shows like Real World: Key West and Date My Mom you have all the trash TV you need at your disposal.
La Senza – Giving credit where credit is do, Le Senza has been making women feel and let’s not kid ourselves look sexy for over 15 years.
Rita Tesolin – “Hot Rocks” about sums it up for this Canadian jewelry queen.
The Drake Hotel – A slice of Boho culture that reinvented Queen St. West., and really peeps it doesn’t get much better than a sweet bar you can sleep at.
