Though August is the peak tourist season in Greece, September is by far the best month to visit the Islands!
Less tourists, friendlier atmosphere, beautiful weather (Not the August heat, but still perfect for a tan) and let’s not forget better prices. Another bonus of September over August is the locals are far friendlier. Peak season is over so now you can experience true Greek hospitality.
And for all you shopaholics out there. Greece may be your haven as prices on all your favorite designer labels are 30-40% cheaper than in the True North.

Ahh, the land of philosophy, poetry, wine, sculpture, food and the beaches, oh the beaches. Greece is the whole package, including the beautiful dark haired beauties that roam the land and the sea. And oh boy do those who rein on the Aegean Sea know how to make you feel welcome! They are always ready to feed you till you can barely bring that glass of licoricy good Ouzo to your lips! There is a reason we pray to the Greek Gods! Bring on Poseidon, Aphrodite, Zeus, Eros and Apollo!
When you breathe in the sweet salty air of the Greek Isles, know that you are about to immerse yourself in the Nectar of the Gods in everyway. You’re going to drink it, bathe in it, play in it, and do all else you can with it! Since we’re talking about the Nectar of the Gods, you better be staying somewhere God worthy! Life Gallery hotel is God worthy in my books. This place pure paradise, with a little (actually a lot) of culture thrown in! But you can’t stop your travels there: the Semiramis hotel, designed by Karim Rashid, in the heart of Athens, and although it might not be traditionally Greek, it is damn chic! Once you get there you will want to call and thank me, but I’m not giving out my number, well unless you’re cute.
While we are on the topic of travel, in Greece you can’t just hit one island, one city, or one town, you HAVE to take it all in. While luxury and opulence is always lovely, sometimes the peace and quiet of a quaint town is what’s needed. But getting the peace and quiet of a quaint town on secluded island, now that’s where it’s at! Folegandros Island, which by the way means the island of peace, is a small friendly little village with everything you could every need, including private beaches! Yum yum!
Now lets get down to the nitty gritty, and aka fashion. When you think Greece you may not initially think fashion, but that’s all going to change. Especially with upcoming superstar design duo Dimitris Alexakis and Grigoris Triantafyllou of Deux Hommes. Their designs are sleek and sophisticated, and almost as beautiful as the country they were born in! So move over Paris, Athens is in the house!
So now that you are ready to be Greeced, it’s time for you to get used to the local bevy of choice. If you know anything about Greek culture, you can say OOPA! To OUZO! There are lots of snazzy cocktails you can make, but the tried and true is 1 part Ouzo, and 3 parts water. Careful though, this ain’t no girly mans drink! Bottoms up.
